Nightfall is the time of day when it starts to get dark. It is a transition into another stadium.

The series 'Nightfall' describes the study of my biographical background, based on an archive of family photos and other documents. At the same time, I now live in the house and garden that my family has once developed as a centre of life. The medial and narrated heritage can therefore also be reconciled factually and manifests itself again in this place. 'Nightfall' thus also describes the transition into a new phase: The house is filled with new stories, with new interpretations, with new encounters. As a result, 'Nightfall' combines archival pictures from my grandfather with my own photographs.

The work is ongoing and is being constantly updated. Part of the development of the 'Nightfall' project is the single copy of a self produced book. Latest update: 22.03.2023
